At WellFit Zion, our focus is to help you reach your true potential through exercise, nutrition, education, relaxation, and community.  Over the course of our 7-day program, we will help you change your mindset, push your limits, expand your education, and learn what you’re truly capable of. Your time with us will be a transformative journey. Here’s what you can expect during your stay.

We proudly offer:

  • Fitness assessment upon arrival and departure, including our BIA (bio-electrical impedance analysis) test, which measures total weight, body fat, lean body muscle, and RMR (resting metabolic rate)
  • Welcome orientation with program overview and Q&A for any remaining questions or concerns
  • Guided hikes by our seasoned, expert guides in the red rocks and sandstone desertscapes of Southwest Utah, including weekly trips to Zion National Park
  • Daily stretch and meditation class with myofascial release focus
  • Fun and varied daily pool, cardio and strength training classes, tailored to your ability and mobility level
  • Peaceful, quiet, and luxurious casita accommodations with ensuite bathroom where you can relax by the fireplace, soak in your oversized jetted bathtub, and get a great night’s sleep
  • Nutritious, delicious, and satisfying meals and snacks created by our executive chef
  • Cooking demonstrations so you can make some of your favorite meals at home
  • An education series that focuses on your physical, nutritional, emotional, and mental fitness, with special attention to healthy lifestyle longevity, and a sustainable transition from program to home
  • A final celebration of all you’ve achieved during your stay

Fitness Program

Hiking

The hikes at WellFit Zion provide both a life-affirming and fantastic cardio exercise experience. We have hiking options for every fitness ability level, from novice to experienced, and for every terrain preference, from asphalt bike path to rocky hills and steep inclines. Our hikes take us to the red rocks, sandstone, and lava caves of Southern Utah, in and around Snow Canyon, Ivins, Tuacahn, the Red Cliffs Recreation Area, and Zion National Park. 

Our experienced hiking guides lead, encourage, and support each guest to challenge themselves while also allowing them to enjoy the scenery and to take photos. We hike in the greater St. George area for approximately 2 hours Monday – Friday, and we visit Zion National Park for several hours every Saturday. At Zion, you can challenge yourself on Angel’s Landing and Observation Point, visit Emerald Pools, or enjoy a more relaxing River Walk. We hike rain or shine (though it rarely rains) all year long. Guests are encouraged to bring trail running shoes that are comfortably worn and to dress in layers.

Cardio and Strength Training 

Whether you have never visited a gym before or you’re a seasoned athlete seeking a challenge, WellFit Zion will tailor an exercise program best suited to your needs. The WellFit fitness program is designed to help you build endurance and become stronger during your stay, and to prepare you for an active lifestyle when you return home. Our goal is to help you learn both proficiency and confidence in both cardio and strength training workouts.

Our trainers have years of experience coaching and motivating individuals. They will help you safely push your limits and discover the types of movements and classes you enjoy.

 

Nutrition

 

Our food is delicious, nutritious, and satisfying. You’ll have your choice of breakfast options each morning, freshly prepared lunch with soup, a gourmet dinner with dessert, and healthy snacks throughout the day to help keep you fueled for activity. 

Created by our executive chef and registered dietitian, each delicious, calorie-controlled meal features top-quality ingredients, including grass-fed beef and organic chicken, for just the right nutritious balance of proteins, carbohydrates, and healthy fats. Our meals provide the body and mind with the nutrition you need for the physical challenges you’ll experience throughout your WellFit stay.

All menu options can be customized for allergies, such as gluten or dairy intolerance, dietary restrictions, including vegetarian and vegan lifestyle preferences. We’ll also teach you how to prepare some of your favorite meals at home during our cooking demonstrations with our executive chef.

Education

Our education series has been mindfully developed by our fitness and wellness professionals to equip you with the knowledge and tools you need to live a healthy sustainable lifestyle. You will learn from qualified health experts such as a registered dietitian, a nutrition and wellness specialist, a behavioral health specialist, certified trainers, and our executive chef.

 

Relaxation

 

Soothe your body, mind, and spirit at our spa The Lotus Retreat. Offering a wide range of restorative treatments you will be sure to find something that suits your needs.

Community

 

WellFit Zion provides a safe and supportive environment away from the stresses of daily life. We empower our guests by expanding their self-love, knowledge, and strength, and we encourage them to stop “surviving” and start thriving.

Although they come for various reasons, and from different life paths, our guests enjoy a genuine camaraderie as they pursue their goals in the WellFit community. Here, we’ve witnessed the start of friendships that span generations, time zones, international borders, and every channel of social media. The memories and connections you make here last far beyond the seven days you’ll spend in our program. Everyone is welcome in the WellFit family.
